The Secret Holocaust Diaries: Free Ebook

Nonna Bannister carried a secret almost to her Tennessee grave: the diaries she had kept as a young girl experiencing the horrors of the Holocaust.

In honor of Holocaust Remembrance day on May 1st, we’ve extended our free ebook offer of The Secret Holocaust Diaries by Nonna Banister until May 2nd.

Nonna’s childhood writings, revisited in her late adulthood, tell the remarkable tale of how a Russian girl from a family that had known wealth and privilege, then exposed to German labor camps, learned the value of human life and the importance of forgiveness. This story of loss, of love, and of forgiveness is one you will not forget.

What does your workspace say about you?

Are you the kind of person that has motivational posters, or devotional thoughts scattered around your work space? Maybe you have a funny comic from three years ago, a family picture, or a drawing from one of your kids displayed on your desk or pinned to a bulletin board in your office. Personally, I have reminders of things I like on my cubicle walls. I have a book cover of a book I really like that we published, another book cover that reminds me of a sport and TV show I really like, there’s even a movie poster and an old fashioned picture of the earth that greets you as you enter my area.

Do you have a conversation starter to catch the eye of people who pass by, or something to brighten people’s day? I work at a publisher so it’s commonplace to see lots of books in someone’s office, do you have a bookshelf with a specific types of books displayed, or a hodgepodge showcasing your personality and interests?

Maybe your workspace is in your home and the two worlds sometimes melt together.

Maybe you don’t have anything in your work space, it’s neat and clean, no extras.

Do you have a comfy chair, bear skin rug, or maybe some paper lanterns? Perhaps you have Christmas decorations from 3 years ago, a deflated “Happy Birthday” balloon, or a week’s worth of empty Starbucks cups.

Does your work space reflect your personality? If you had the chance how would you customize yours?

Oh, and if you need some recommendations for books to put on the bookshelf in your office, I think we can help you.
