This weekend in the NFL – Tyndale Edition

If you watch some NFL football this weekend you’ll probably hear the names of a few Tyndale authors mentioned and maybe even see them in action.

Here’s who you can catch this weekend.

Drew Brees – New Orleans Saints, QB

Former Super Bowl MVP, Drew Brees, and the Saints will be facing the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. Last week Brees threw an amazing 5 touchdown passes and only 4 incompletions. In the summer of 2010 after a Super Bowl winning season, Drew’s book Coming Back Stronger released and immediately hit the New York Times best-seller list.

Tony Dungy – Former Super Bowl winning player and Coach, Current Broadcaster

Tony Dungy won a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a player and won a Super Bowl as Coach of the Indianapolis Colts. He is currently seen as part of the NBC Sunday Night Football team. In the past few years he’s released several best-sellers including Quiet Strength, Uncommon, The Mentor Leader, and most recently The One Year Uncommon Daily Challenge.

Emmitt Smith – Former NFL Running Back

Emmitt Smith, former running back for the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals, holds the NFL record for total rushing yards with 18,355. Emmitt is a three time Super Bowl Winner and was the MVP of the NFL in 1993. His book Game On released in September 2011.

 

Kurt Warner – Former NFL QB, Current Broadcaster

Kurt Warner is the former  QB of the St.Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals. He’s a two time NFL MVP and won a Super Bowl with the Rams in 2000 and has several impressive records including a Super Bowl record 414 passing yards in Super Bowl XXIV. Kurt and his wife Brenda founded First Things First Foundation in 2001, and wrote a book of the same name in 2010. You can catch Kurt on the NFL network as an analyst and color commentator.
