The Devil in Pew Number Seven Earns National Attention {+Giveaway!}
Although The Devil in Pew Number Seven by Rebecca Nichols Alonzo released in August 2010, this true crime memoir became a New York Times bestseller and recently received national media attention. If you’ve never heard Rebecca’s story before, you can learn more in the trailer below:
In September 2011, CNN ran a four-part series on Rebecca’s story, which included in-depth interviews with neighbors, family members, and the man who shot her parents. This led to an invitation for Rebecca and her brother Daniel to come on the Dr. Phil Show to face Harris Williams, the man who shot their parents, for the first time in over 30 years. You can watch the power of forgiveness at work in the episode, which aired December 9, here.
Some may wonder how Rebecca and Daniel could forgive the “devil” who terrorized their family and Harris, who shot their parents and killed their mother. It wasn’t easy, but Rebecca and Daniel spoke the language of forgiveness that their parents taught them since a young age. We want to give you the opportunity to read Rebecca’s incredible story. We’re giving away 50 copies of The Devil in Pew Number Seven!
