Signed Beth Moore Book Giveaway and More!

Today on the Today’s Christian Woman website, author Kylie Bisutti writes about How to Talk to Your Daughter about Body Image & Media, which was also a big part of her recent book, I’m No Angel. In I’m No Angel, Kylie writes from her experience as a former model about understanding that true beauty lies within and that real fulfillment comes from knowing, loving, and serving Christ.

Similarly, in Beth Moore’s So Long, Insecurity Teen Edition, teen girls talk about finding their value in Christ, rather than the things and messages they are bombarded with daily that suggest otherwise.

KAREN

Really, I would LOVE to be a conductor of a massive orchestra . . . wild Einstein hair and a coat with tails. What could be more fun? Unfortunately, I haven’t read any books on that topic. (Though I do note that there is a WWII historical on the subject.) Failing that, I would be Katniss Everdeen . . . everyone could do with a dose of her steely resolve and her drive to save her family. I love the way her mind works in strategic ways in critical situations. And I’ve always thought that I needed people to do my clothing on a regular basis. Love a good fire-retardant costume.

JAN

I would be Elizabeth Bennet from Jane Austen’s classic Pride and Prejudice. Who wouldn’t want to be the witty, smart young woman who won Mr. Darcy’s heart? I think the costuming from that time period would be fun to wear.

STEPHANIE
Stephanie

Hermione Granger—I love her courage and bravery and determination not to give in to others’ judgments. Plus, she always comes through in a pinch, and she knows the good spells!

SHAINA

I have to go with Jo March from Little Women. Can’t help but admire her gumption and love her active imagination when it comes to literature.

CHERYL

I am going to go with Dorothy Gale from The Wizard of Oz. She displays a take-charge character and isn’t afraid to take on the Wicked Witch, but at the same time she’s very loving and caring when it comes to her loved ones.

JULIE
Julie

The literary character I would dress up as is Mary Poppins. Mary is such a joy and delight to everyone she meets. All the unexpected and exciting journeys are the perfect recipe for a day of fun. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious—pretty much says it all!

What about you? Would love to hear from you in the comments.
