Where are you from originally and what brought you to Tyndale?
I grew up in Wheaton which is a suburb of Chicago and very close to Tyndale.
The thing that brought me to Tyndale was God. I am not sure how else to explain it. I went to college in Indiana and had planned to be a Math Teacher to high school students. However, after I graduated I felt like God wanted me to wait before I pursued that. So, I had no idea what I wanted to do.
After a couple of months without a job I gave in and signed up for a temp agency. My first placement was Tyndale it was supposed to be a 2 week job. However, after a while I was hired full-time.

When you were a young child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
My first thought was to be a professional soccer player. However, I knew how hard that would be from an early age. So I looked at the other things I was good at and decided that a Math Teacher would be a good choice, but as you just read God had other plans.

What was your first paid job?
Well, if you count working for my parents, it was to mow the lawn on a regular basis and trim the bushes outside our house. Otherwise it was working for the Forest Preserve doing maintenance, like painting the park benches and repairing some of the buildings (helping a carpenter).

What do you like most about your job at Tyndale?
I like that there is always something new. I don’t think that I could do a job where it is the same thing every day. I do the purchasing for a lot of different types or product and some of the projects are extremely interesting. The thing I like though is that in the midst of all the new challenges there is some consistency, so that I do not feel overwhelmed. It is a great balance.

What is your favorite Tyndale Kids product and why?
This is hard. There are so many great products. In general though, I would say that I enjoy some of the non-fiction titles that show how God is at work in the lives of people. However, recently I have had a renewed interested in the Little Blessings titles (like Thank You God and God Loves You) because my wife and I just had our first baby. It has been great fun reading to him from these books.
