Kid Talk Tuesday: Last Minute Gift Ideas

This week’s post is by publishing coordinator, Linda MacKillop.

Are you a last-minute person? A last-minute shopper? If so, you’ll have company out in the malls and stores this time of year! But, sometimes so much shopping and parties and gift giving makes us all a little cuckoo, removing the sacred hush from our holiday and filling the weeks with stress. So to help you expedite your shopping and allow more time for celebrating the birth of Christ with family, friends, and coworkers, we have some ideas to assist you and soothe those frazzled moments.

If you are looking for meaningful and easy gifts that would be perfect for a stocking stuffer or a small, wrapped present, consider our Adventures in Odyssey series. These DVDs provide not only fun, biblical entertainment for kids, but peace of mind for parents that their children are absorbing great truths about character and values while quietly enjoying a video. The series includes 17 different action-packed adventures to keep your kids hooked! The videos are sold separately or as a gift pack that includes four exciting Adventures in Odyssey shows from the DVD series, as well as supercharged extra features such as nine all-time favorite audio adventures.

For stocking stuffers, consider our Faith that Sticks line. These small, fun books come with stickers inside, ready for kids to apply to the pages. Or kids can enjoy making one of the craft suggestions found in the back of the books. Topics include prayer, Christmas, the story of Daniel, how God made each child special, and more. This quick and simple resource enhances learning, motivates children, and inspires ideas. With this line of stickers, Tyndale hopes to provide a creative outlet where kids can express their faith in a fun and meaningful way.

Our Little Blessings series also makes excellent last-minute gifts! The small board books or softcovers would be great stocking stuffers and include ideas as varied as birthdays, looking for blessings, shapes, colors, and God’s love. The adorable characters make these books a fun read for both parent and child!

Stop by any Christian retail store or bookstore or order online from your favorite vendor. Is there anything better during a hectic time of year than having items show up on your front doorstep to be crossed off your list? Here at Tyndale, we wish you the gift of a Holy Hush to descend on your Christmas.
